About Dale View Bed & Breakfast

Dale View offers 3 lovely guest bedrooms. 2 doubles with en-suite bathrooms and 1 twin with separate private bathroom and loo. The bathroom and loo for the twin are located down 2 steps to a landing.

  • Sorry but NO CHILDREN OR DOGS.
  • Please Note, no lift access.

 

  • Check-in is from 4pm to 7pm, if arriving after 7pm please contact.

  • Payment can be made by Debit card, Credit card or cash, when booked direct.

  • All guest rooms are on the 1st floor. There is one flight of stairs to the guest bedrooms. 
  • There are 2 steps down to the bathroom and loo for the twin room.
  • There is No lift.
  • A short flight of steps leads up to the rear garden.

Extras

A packed breakfast can be provided by prior arrangement if leaving before the cooked breakfast time. These would need to be pre-ordered the previous evening.

Packed lunches can be provided at an additional cost of £5.00 per lunch. These would need to be pre-ordered the evening before or at breakfast.

Special Occasions. I can provide flowers, cakes and chocolates, at an additional cost. Please confirm at time of booking any special requirements.

Fuel and Travel

The nearest petrol station is in Holmrook , and has a Spar shop for all those extras you might want. Electric car charging points can be found at Eskdale; 5 miles, Gosforth; 4 miles and Seascale: 3 miles.

Drigg train station is within walking distance, approx. 1.5 miles, on the Cumbrian Coast line – which runs between Barrow-in-Furness and Carlisle. There is a small gift and coffee shop there. Tickets can be purchased in advance online or from the ticket machine at the station.

  • Drigg dunes and beach nature reserve within walking distance (Approx. 2 miles)
  • Holmrook has the beautiful River Irt with walks and beautiful scenery, within walking distance. (Approx. 1 mile)
  • Ravenglass with the Eskdale railway, Roman bath house and seaside. (Approx. 3 miles)
  • Seascale with its beautiful beaches. (Approx. 3 miles)
  • Gosforth, Eskdale, Wasdale & Wast Water, Ennerdale Water, Scafell Pike and surrounding mountains and lakes for walking, cycling and other attractions. (All within Approx. 10 miles)
  • Whitehaven for seaside, shops, light house, marina and lots more (Approx. 13 miles)
  • Egremont with its castle, nearby Florence Mine Heritage Centre and shops. (Approx. 8 miles)
  • St. Bees & St. Bee’s Head, seaside with Britain’s only colony of Black Guillemots. Penguins and various other seabirds can be seen in the RSPB nature reserve. Lots of walks, beaches and beautiful scenery. (Approx. 11 miles)
